Split modes
- Custom ranges
- Each comma-separated range becomes one file.
1-3, 5, 8-gives three files: pages 1–3, page 5, and page 8 to the end. - Every N pages
- Cuts the document into equal chunks, for example every 2 pages. The last file may be shorter.
- One file per page
- Saves every page as its own PDF.
Files are named after the original and their pages, such as contract-pages-01-03.pdf. Several files are bundled into one ZIP, like contract-split.zip.
Questions
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, with their original text, images and fonts. Nothing is re-compressed.
Why is each part nearly as big as the original?
Pages often share fonts and images, and every part needs its own copy of the ones it uses. A single page can still carry a full embedded font.
Can a page go into more than one file?
Yes. Ranges may overlap, for example 1-5, 5-10.
