How to rotate a PDF

  1. Add your PDF. Pages appear as thumbnails, shown the way they will be saved.
  2. Use the arrows under a page to turn it left or right, or the buttons above the grid to turn every page.
  3. To rotate a group, click the pages (shift-click selects a run) and use the Selected buttons.
  4. Select Download rotated PDF.

Rotation is saved in each page’s settings, the same way PDF readers do it. Text stays sharp and searchable, and links, form fields, bookmarks and metadata are kept as they were.

Keyboard: focus a page and press R to turn it right or Shift + R to turn it left.

Questions

My reader still shows a page sideways. Why?

Some pages are drawn sideways inside the page itself rather than marked as rotated. Rotating fixes the display either way: turn the page until its thumbnail looks right.

Does rotating reduce quality?

No. Nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed; only the page’s rotation setting changes.

Can I rotate by 45 degrees?

No. PDF pages can only be rotated in steps of 90 degrees.
